“According to expressen.se, NHLPA chief Paul Kelly has confirmed that an NHL game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers will be played in Sweden for the upcoming 2008-2009 season. The event will be held in the Globen arena in Stockholm, which will also be host to a game between the Ottawa Senators and Pittsburgh Penguins.”

Sounds like Lundqvist will have a lot of fans that night. The game was originally set to be played in Czech Republic, but with the likelihood that Jagr, Straka, Malik, and possibly Rozsival will not be returning for the Rangers I assume they decided there would be a better fan base in Sweden. _X_
